Peer-to-Peer Learning Program – Blood Pressure & Pulmonary Function Test
The Peer-to-Peer Learning Program session on Blood Pressure (BP) and Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) was an interdisciplinary learning initiative organized by the Computer Club to expand students’ exposure beyond conventional computer science topics and explore the intersection of technology, healthcare, and diagnostic sciences.
The session was conducted by Ms. Saumya Sinha and Mr. Roshan Singh, who introduced participants to the scientific principles and technological aspects behind two important diagnostic tools: Blood Pressure monitoring and Pulmonary Function Tests. The session helped students understand how these techniques are used to assess cardiovascular and respiratory health.
Participants explored the practical and real-world applications of BP monitoring and PFT, along with their significance in preventive healthcare, clinical assessment, and health monitoring. The session provided an opportunity to understand how technology and scientific methods contribute to modern healthcare and diagnosis.
The initiative marked an important step toward interdisciplinary learning by encouraging students to explore knowledge domains beyond their core academic subjects. It promoted curiosity, knowledge sharing, and a broader understanding of how technology can contribute to diverse fields such as healthcare and medical sciences.
Participants who successfully completed the session were also provided with an e-certificate, adding a valuable interdisciplinary learning experience to their academic portfolio.
Organized vibrantly by the Computer Club, the session demonstrated the club’s commitment to fostering collaborative and multidisciplinary learning. By expanding its learning initiatives into diverse domains, the Computer Club continues to encourage students to explore new areas, connect technology with real-world applications, and develop a broader perspective toward innovation and learning.
