Peer-to-Peer Learning Session – “Mastering Java: Fundamentals, OOP & Spring Boot”

The Computer Club of Shobhit University organized a Peer-to-Peer Learning (P2P) session titled “Mastering Java: Fundamentals, OOP & Spring Boot”, aimed at providing students with a structured and practical introduction to Java programming and its applications in modern software development.

The session focused on building a strong foundation in Java fundamentals, covering essential programming concepts such as variables, data types, loops, control statements, arrays, and methods. Through simple explanations and practical examples, students were introduced to the core building blocks required to write effective Java programs.

A major component of the session was Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). Participants explored important concepts including classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, and abstraction. The session helped students understand how these concepts are used to structure Java applications and develop scalable and maintainable software.

The learning journey was further extended to Spring Boot and project-based development. Students were introduced to the Spring Boot framework and gained an understanding of how Java can be used to develop modern backend applications. A small hands-on project provided participants with an opportunity to connect their theoretical understanding with practical implementation.

The session was conducted by Harsh Raj, who guided students through the concepts and practical aspects of Java development. The peer-to-peer format encouraged an interactive learning environment, allowing participants to explore programming concepts in a collaborative manner and gain practical insights beyond conventional classroom learning.

Through this initiative, the Computer Club continued its efforts to promote skill-oriented and peer-driven technical education, enabling students to explore industry-relevant technologies and develop a stronger foundation for future opportunities in software development.
