Saturday Sparks 2.0
Saturday Sparks 2.0 – Interview & Professional Skills Development Session
The Computer Club of Shobhit University organized Saturday Sparks 2.0, a skill-oriented initiative designed to help students strengthen the essential skills required for interviews, placements, and professional environments.
The session focused on the importance of developing communication skills, confidence, body language, professional presentation, and interview etiquette alongside technical knowledge. Students were guided on how to present themselves effectively and communicate their thoughts with clarity and confidence during professional interactions.
A major component of the session was interview preparation. Students were introduced to various aspects of the interview process, including appropriate professional attire, entering and exiting an interview, seating posture, body language, resume presentation, and responding to different types of interview questions.
Through practical examples and an interactive approach, participants also learned how to handle difficult or unexpected questions, manage nervousness, and maintain confidence during interviews. The session emphasized that effective communication is not only about what a candidate says, but also about how they present themselves and communicate it.
The session was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Rajesh Pandey, Assistant Professor, School of Computational Sciences and Engineering and Faculty In-charge – Computer Club. His practical guidance and interaction with students helped participants understand the expectations of professional interviews and workplace environments.
The session also highlighted that soft skills cannot be developed overnight and require consistent practice. Students were encouraged to regularly work on their communication, presentation, confidence, and professional behaviour to become better prepared for future placement opportunities.
Through Saturday Sparks 2.0, the Computer Club continued its effort to provide students with practical, peer-oriented, and career-focused learning opportunities, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and the skills required in the professional world.
